Job Description:

Position Overview: As a Server Administrator at Barton I.T. Solutions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our server environment. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our servers, ensuring they meet the business requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Server      Deployment and Configuration:

• Install,       configure, and maintain server hardware and software.

• Set       up and manage virtualization environments.

• Implement       security measures and access controls.

• Monitor       server performance and make necessary adjustments.

• System      Maintenance:

• Perform       regular system updates and patch management.

• Backup       and disaster recovery planning and execution.

• Monitor       and maintain server health, including hardware and software updates.

• Security      Management:

• Implement       and maintain security protocols and policies.

• Conduct       regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

• Respond       to security incidents and perform forensic analysis if required.

• User      Support:

• Provide       technical support to end-users and assist with server-related issues.

• Create       and manage user accounts and permissions.

• Documentation:

• Maintain       detailed documentation of server configurations, processes, and       procedures.

• Prepare       reports and documentation for audits.

• Collaboration      and Teamwork:

• Collaborate       with other IT team members on projects and initiatives.

• Assist       in planning and implementing server upgrades and migrations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's      degree in Information Technology or related field (preferred).

• Proven      experience as a Server Administrator or a similar role.

• Strong      knowledge of Windows and Linux server operating systems.

• Proficiency      in server virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

• Familiarity      with networking concepts and protocols.

• Experience      with server monitoring and management tools.

• Strong      problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent      communication and teamwork abilities.

• Relevant      certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure      Administrator) a plus.
