Job Description:

• The Electrician performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.
• Work involves most of the following: installing or repairing a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment, and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
• In addition to the types of work listed above some other work that may be included: assisting with custodial work, parts and material storage and inventory, equipment operational status checks, and other general duties. All duties must be performed within the specified safety regulations of the company and the position. May perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• This position requires the individual to work both inside and outside, sometimes in inclement weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and in some instances more; capable of performing both pushing and pulling motions and other repetitive motions.
• Requires lifting, prolonged, sitting, standing, bending, kneeling and ability to work in cramped/confined spaces. In addition, the use of ladders may be required, which includes the ability to use/carry ladders, lift and climb ladders of up to 30ft. in length.
• High Rise experience desired

Required Job Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• Security Clearance (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience (8000 hours hands-on experience, combined with technical instruction, supervised experience, and examination) in electrical facilities maintenance in a commercial/industrial/data center environment.
• Journeyman level certification (4-5 years' experience; equal to 8000 hours); Valid electrical license as per state requirements

Desired Job Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or other related field of study;
• Three to five years in electrical maintenance and repair in an industrial setting is preferred; Master Electrician License is a plus.

Necessary Licenses or Certifications:

• Valid Electrician License (Journeyman)

Work Schedule:

• Full-Time (40 hours per week)
• Position may require some shift work and work on Holidays, Saturday, and Sunday
